About Me

Team Role:

Senior Vice President/Investments: focus on client experience, practice growth, risks facing our clients, vetting of vast Stifel resources to meet client needs, and making sure our practice is improving every day.

Prior to joining Stifel, he held various roles spanning small business lending, private banking, wealth advisory, and family office services. Dave leverages his multidimensional experience for the benefit of his clients.

Dave earned a B.B.A. in International Business from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation, as well as Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, and life, health, and variable insurance licenses.

Active in his community, Dave serves as the chairman of Grace House of Brunswick, Inc., a recovery home for women, a finance committee member at Community Church, volunteers at Community Church’s men’s ministry, and is a founding member of the Glynn County Bluecoats.

Dave and his wife, Joanna, have lived in St. Simons for 21 years and are now exploring the exciting stage of life, known as “empty nesting.” Their daughter Elle is starting her career at Sea Island Company on their human resources team after graduating from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, GA. Meanwhile, their son, David, is entering his junior year at the University of Georgia as a finance major in The Terry College of Business, while balancing the social demands of his fraternity (poor guy). On occasion, the Wilkins crew enjoys spending time in the NGA mountains and lakes with family, boating, hiking, turkey hunting, playing golf, and hollering for the Bulldawgs – whenever they need the encouragement!

Impactful career experiences:

“Two things stand out. #1. I had a family member who initially planned well until changes in tax law unraveled much that had been done – ultimately leading to unnecessary expense and confusion. I make it a mission to help my clients avoid these pitfalls by using this unfortunate experience for their benefit, while coordinating, collaborating, and communicating with their CPAs and attorneys. #2. Being in wealth management between 2008-2012 was particularly impactful in shaping my approach to helping clients manage both sides of their balance sheet through debt management, maintaining prudent reserves, and maintaining proper diversification. History may not repeat itself, but it often rhymes. Drawing on these challenging experiences helps keep me vigilant in preparing clients for those unpleasant times and surprises, which are likely to happen again.”

About Me

Team Role:

Financial Advisor (responsible for our client experience with focus on practice management efficiency and practice growth)

Brett began his investment industry career in 2013 and joined Stifel in 2025. Prior to joining Stifel, he spent his entire advisory career helping high-net-worth individuals and families integrate their banking and wealth management needs. Brett focuses on building long-term relationships, makes organization a top priority, and works with clients on the behavioral aspects of wealth management planning, seeking to bring a calm presence in adverse situations.

Brett earned a B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences with a major in Family Financial Planning from the University of Georgia. He holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses.

Active in his community, Brett belongs to the Wesley Church at Frederica, where he serves in a variety of leadership positions (church council, men’s ministry, mission investment team), is a member of the University of Georgia Alumni Association, and is a director of an annual golf tournament to help raise money for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Brett and his wife, Molly, have three children, Ford, Sloan, and Harper.

Impactful career experience:

“Serving as financial advisor to family members after they moved to St. Simons. What we accomplished together was especially important given the sudden death of the patriarch. Everything we had prepared for was called to task, and despite the difficulty of his loss, things were left in good order. It’s still a privilege to honor his life as I work with his beloved wife to carry out the plan we set in place. What a blessing to have been able to serve my family in the toughest of circumstances.”

About Me

Team Role:

Client Relationship Manager (focus on all aspects of client service needs with focus on making our clients’ experience exceptional)

Misty began her career in banking in 1998 culminating into the dynamic and wealth focused position of private banking for 10 years where she particularly enjoyed serving clients with a “both sides of the balance sheet” approach, which started with information gathering and organization, and culminated with a wealth plan.

Misty earned a B.A. in Secondary Education/Math from the University of Wyoming. She uses her education and love of numbers to help guide clients to a goal of a stronger financial future. She holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, accident and variable insurance licenses.

Impactful career experience:

“Raising my daughters as a single mom and seeing them grow up and thrive in the real world (plus one becoming a mom) is so rewarding. I tried to teach them that faith, hard work, honesty, and going above and beyond would position them well, and I’m so proud of the women they’ve become. After moving to Stifel I realized there were gaps in my estate planning which needed to be buttoned up. I can’t underscore how fulfilling it is to have the important aspects of my estate planning finally completed. I love taking care of clients and can now serve them with even more confidence that I seek to bring about for all our clients.”
